·         Organized as coordinator one day inception workshop for the UNDP-sponsored scooping study titled “Strategy and action plan for strengthening the ecological integrity of the Dal Lake” undertaken by ATREE, Bangalore in collaboration with University of Kashmir on 08-03-2014.

·         Coordinated a special meeting on 14-02-2014 under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor KU, Prof. Talat Ahmad, with Prof. Damase Khasa, University Laval, Quebec, Canada to discuss the MOU between KU and University Laval, and follow-up visit of Prof. Talat to Laval to take the discussions further.

·         Five day Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) programme, sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India at University of Kashmir from September 7-11, 2013.

·         A special meeting on 19-10-2013 under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor KU, Prof. Talat Ahmad, with the Director of The Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE) and a cross section of natural and social scientists from various institutions to form an interdisciplinary team of natural and social scientists to review the proximal and ultimate causes of deterioration of Dal lake in order to evolve a deliverable strategy and action plan for restoration and effective management of Dal lake.

·         Organizing secretary of one day brainstorming session on “Management and sustainable development of dal lake through scientific intervention and stakeholders participation”  organized by University of Kashmir in collaboration with the Lakes and Waterways Development Authority (LAWDA) and Indian Phycological Society on 30-11-2013.
